MultiTerm offers several options for searching and filtering.
You can search on multiple termbases in a project. Use the Project Properties dialog box to enable or disable termbases for searching.
Before you search for terminology in your termbase, you need to set the source and target languages in the Navigation toolbar.
This is so that MultiTerm can access the correct language index for the term you need. If you manage terminology in multiple languages, setting the source and target languages also causes MultiTerm to display the information for these languages at the top of the entry followed by the information for those languages.
If you carry out a search, and no match is found, this can be logged to a file using the Log Search Term command. The log file has the same name as the project file with a.msf extension and is saved in the same directory. If the search is carried out on a termbase not in a project, the log file is saved as Multiterm.msf extension in the installation directory.
You can search a remote or local termbase from Translator's Workbench or TagEditor. For more information, see the Translator's Workbench or TagEditor help.
