Input models are part of the termbase definition. They are templates that help you to control the entry of data into your termbase. They are like templates, in that they help to keep the entry of data consistent.
Input models allow you to:
Specify one or more basic structures for all your entries.
Predefine default values for fields.
Decide whether, how often, and in what sequence, index and descriptive fields occur in new or changed entries.
Further specify who can edit which fields in a network environment.
Select Input Models from the Entry menu.
The Termbase Catalogue dialog box opens with the Input Model tab active.
Select the input model that you wish to use from the list box.
Click Edit and the Input Wizard appears. You can use the Input Wizard to edit the input model.
Click OK. The input model you have chosen is applied to the selected termbase.
Note: You can mark any field as mandatory in the input model. This means that it must be completed before the entry can be added to the termbase. If a field is marked as mandatory in the termbase definition, it remains mandatory in each input model for that termbase. This cannot be changed.
