All users can create a local termbase. Local Termbases are stored in the Termbase directory which is a sub-directory of the MultiTerm directory. The default path for this is C:\Program Files\TRADOS Corporate Language\MultiTerm\Termbase.
You can create a local termbase from scratch, or you can base it on an existing termbase. This is particularly useful if you wish to base all your termbases on one template.
Select Create from the Termbase menu.
The Termbase Wizard starts.
Follow the steps in the Termbase Wizard to create your new termbase.
Save the termbase definition that you are going to use. This will be in an XDT file.
Select Create from the Termbase menu. The Termbase Wizard starts.
In step 1 select Load an Existing Termbase definition file. Click the browse button and select the XDT file that you saved. You can modify the definition in any way, by adding new fields, deleting existing fields or changing the entry structure.
Follow the rest of the steps in the Termbase Wizard to create your new termbase..
