Fuzzy searching allows you to find a term even if you misspell, or omit parts of, the search text. It is useful when searching for multi-word terms.
Make sure that
fuzzy searching is activated, by clicking the fuzzy
search
icon
on the Navigation
toolbar or selecting Activate Fuzzy Search
from the Search menu.
Click in the search box and type in your search text. A fuzzy search should contain at least three characters.
Press [Enter] to begin the search.
MultiTerm shows the matching terms in a hit list .
To look at a term, click on it. The hit list remains, with the term displayed behind it. To hide the hit list, click on the selected term and click OK.
If you create a fuzzy index for the sample termbase Sample.mtw, a search in English for component model finds the entry component object model.
Tip: If you think that your fuzzy search is incorrect or slow, you should reorganise your fuzzy index.
