Incomplete Entries

- specifies the number and type of index and descriptive fields that a termbase entry may contain, and the entry structure that entries must conform to. Every termbase must have a termbase definition. For exchange purposes, you can save the termbase definition to the file system as an XDT file. Use the Termbase Wizard to create or modify the termbase definition.

- feature that allows you to import termbase data from another application, for example MultiTerm 5 or MultiTerm '95 Plus. Use the Import Wizard to add new entries to your termbase or to change existing entries. Termbase data for import must be available in the new MultiTerm XML format.

- TRADOS terminology application for extracting terms from documents. ExtraTerm extracts terms and presents them in an easy to use interface for validation and re-use.

- termbase object that is used to define a subset of termbase data for search, import or export purposes. When you apply a filter to one of these operations, MultiTerm evaluates entries according to the filter criteria and distinguishes between matching and non-matching entries during further processing.

- a list of source language terms that match your search criteria. This list is displayed in the Hit List tab in MultiTerm when you do a wildcard or fuzzy search.

Use the Incomplete Entries command to find incomplete entries in the default termbase

These are entries that do not match the termbase definition. For example, an incomplete entry may be an entry that is missing a field that is mandatory. This feature is useful for QA purposes.

Note: If you are searching for incomplete entries, any filter that you are currently using is not applied. All incomplete entries appear in the hit list, whether or not they match the current filter criteria.
