Layout Settings

A layout definition is a specification of how termbase entries should appear in the MultiTerm entry pane. You create a layout definition using the Layout Wizard.

You may define several layout definitions for each termbase. You can switch dynamically from one layout definition to the next using the Layout list in the Properties toolbar.

Layout definitions allow you to specify:

• how entries are displayed

• what fields are displayed

• the display order of the fields - for example, which language is displayed first

Use the Layout Wizard to create layout definitions. Existing layout definitions can be manipulated as follows:

• edit layout definitions using the Layout Wizard

• save the layout definition to the file system as an XDL file

• load a layout definition back into MultiTerm or MultiTerm Administrator from the file system

• delete the layout definition from your termbase
