Wildcard Searches

Use wildcard searches to find all the terms that contain a certain word or part of a word. If you do not know exactly what you are looking for, you can use the asterisk as a wildcard. Insert it anywhere in a search text where there are characters missing.

To perform a wildcard search:

1. Open the termbase and select English as the source language.

2. To search for all the terms ending in mode in a termbase, enter *mode into the search box and press [Enter]. A hit list appears in the Search pane, showing the entries that end in mode.

3. To look at an entry, click on it.

Note: If you have defined a filter, the hit list only displays terms that match the filter.
