The Search Log File

If you carry out a search, and no match is found, this can be logged to a file if you select Log Search Term from the Search menu or press [Ctrl]+[Shift]+[S]

. The log file has the same name as the project file with a.msf extension and is saved in the same directory. If the project is not saved, the log file is saved as MultiTerm.msf in the installation directory.

Every entry in the log file has the following three fields:

• The unknown search term.

• The index (language) selected when the term was searched for.

• The user ID of the user who searched for the term.

Example

Review the log file regularly, and remove terms that you have since added to the termbase. Otherwise, the list will become very long, as MultiTerm keeps adding to it.
