MultiTerm is installed to C:\Program Files\TRADOS Corporate Language\MultiTerm.
We recommend that you accept the default path. This will not overwrite any earlier version of MultiTerm.
If you have termbases created in previous versions of MultiTerm, you can base your termbase definition on these termbases. Use the MultiTerm Migration tool to migrate the termbases, and base your new termbase definition on the resulting termbase definition file.
You can keep an earlier version of MultiTerm with MultiTerm iX on your machine. However you can uninstall the old version if required. Make sure that you have migrated any termbases that you want to use first.
Make sure that the new MultiTerm runs correctly on your computer. Try starting it and open the sample termbase.
If necessary, copy or move any termbases you want to keep from the old program folder to the new folder, or to any other folder you choose.
Go to Start - Settings - Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs. Select MultiTerm '95 Plus or MultiTerm 5, click Add/Remove and follow the instructions to remove the program.
If you wish to use both MultiTerm iX and MultiTerm 5, follow the instructions in Working with MultiTerm 5 and MultiTerm Simultaneously.
You should not use MultiTerm 95 Plus with either MultiTerm 5 or MultiTerm concurrently. Doing so could lead to problems, because MultiTerm 95 Plus behaves differently to later versions when creating and editing entries.
