MultiTerm iX provides you with a fully scalable solution to your termbase needs. It is available in three different editions, MultiTerm Workstation, MultiTerm Workgroup and MultiTerm Enterprise . The main client application, MultiTerm, is the same in each case, providing the end user with a standard working environment. You can use MultiTerm as a stand-alone system on your personal computer or as a client application in a multi-user setup, connecting to a remote MultiTerm Server and accessing network termbases.

MultiTerm Migration Tool |
Supports the migration of existing MultiTerm 5 and MultiTerm 95 termbases in MTW format. |

Supports an unlimited number of languages per termbase and is fully UNICODE-compliant. MultiTerm iX therefore supports any language. |

Enhanced Interface |

Client/Server and Database Access |
MultiTerm iX offers client/server functionality and can also run as a standalone PC system. MultiTerm iX supports Microsoft SQL Server as well as the MSDE database system for small multi-user environments users and Jet for single computers as database backends. The system is built on a common XML-based format, which enables quick and easy exchange of data between users, whether or not they belong to the same network. MultiTerm allows the user to work with local Jet termbases or to connect to MultiTerm Server and use remote multi-user termbases which are stored using third-party technology. MultiTerm iX supports SOAP based connections to MultiTerm Server using MultiTerm Anywhere. |

Termbase Security for Multi-User Setups |
MultiTerm Administrator is a separate client component for managing termbases and users in a multi-user setup. MultiTerm iX supports role-based termbase access. MultiTerm Administrator defines user rights and roles and can group users into roles with common access requirements, for example, terminologists, translators and trainees. Each group can have specific user privileges assigned to it. |

Web Integration |
Includes MultiTerm Online, a server application that allows you to deploy termbases on the web. MultiTerm Online includes a browser-based interface to online termbases in multi-user setups. |
