         <H1>Pausing a
         guest PC</H1>
         
         
            <P><B>To pause the
            operation of a guest PC:</B><BR>
            
            <OL CLASS=STEP>
               
                     <LI>Bring
                     the guest PC window to the front.
                  
                     <LI>On the
                     PC menu, click Pause.
            
            </OL>
            
                  <P CLASS=NOTE><B>Note</B>: When a PC is paused, the window
                  contents are dimmed.</P>
            
            
            <P><B>To resume the
            operation of a guest PC:</B><BR>
            
            <OL CLASS=STEP>
            
                     <LI>Bring
                     the guest PC window to the front.
                  
                     <LI>On the
                     PC menu, click Resume.<BR>

				<P CLASS=NOTE><B>Note</B>: Each guest PC must be resumed
		            individually.</P>
                                 
	         <H2>Other conditions which may pause a guest PC
	         </H2>
         
            <UL>
               
                     <LI><B>Memory shortage<BR>
                     
                     </B>If a guest PC is
                     experiencing severe memory allocation problems,
                     Virtual PC may forcibly pause the guest PC.
                     
                     <LI><B>Move to background<BR>
                     
                     </B>When the Virtual PC global
                     <A HREF="../../vpc03/pgs/vpc3PC.htm">PC
                     Settings preference</A> is set to Pause PCs when
                     in background, moving a guest PC window to the
                     background will cause it to become paused.
                     
                     <LI><B>Edit Preferences<BR>
                     
                     </B>When you edit either
                     global preferences or individual settings, the
                     frontmost PC is paused.
