This option increases the performance of the frontmost guest PC. This option is generally recommended when running more than one guest PC.</P> <P>If you are running only one guest PC at a time, this setting has no effect on performance. </P> <P CLASS=NOTE><B>Note</B>: When running more than one guest PC at a time, additional memory is required.<BR> <LI><B>Deselected<BR> </B>When this option is deselected, guest PCs running in the background will not be paused. Processing time will be divided unequally between the frontmost and background guest PCs, with the frontmost PC getting the bulk of the processing time.<BR> </UL> <P>See also:<BR> <A HREF="../../vpc02/pgs/vpc2RunMany.htm">Running several guest PCs</A><BR> <A HREF="../../shrd/pgs/shrdmem.htm">Memory use in Virtual PC</A><BR> <A HREF="../../shrd/pgs/shrdperf.htm">Performance</A> <H2>Restore PCs at Launch</H2> <UL> <LI><B>Selected<BR> </B>When this option is selected, all guest PCs that were open when you last quit Virtual PC will be reopened when you next launch Virtual PC.</P> <P>The condition for each guest PC at launch depends on which option was selected for that PC when quitting Virtual PC. </P> <P><IMG SRC="../gfx/shutdown.gif"></P> <P> <UL> <LI><B>Save PC State </B>or<B><BR> Save PC State and Commit Changes<BR> </B>If, while quitting Virtual PC, you selected Save PC State for a particular PC that was running at the time, the PC will be reopened in its saved state. <LI><B>All other shutdown options<BR> </B>If, while quitting, you selected one of the other shutdown options, the PC will open as if from power-on.<BR> <P CLASS=NOTE><B>Warning</B>: Selecting Turn off PC is generally not recommended.
