            <P><B>To set Security preferences:</B>
               
               <OL CLASS=STEP>
                     <LI>Bring
                     the Virtual PC window to the front.
                  
                     <LI>On the
                     File menu, click Preferences.
                  
                     <LI>Click
                     the Security setting.
                     
                     <LI>Click the
                     Enable security lockout.
                     
                     <LI>Assign
                     a password.
                  
                     <LI>Select
                     the desired preferences, and click OK.

         <H2>Security</H2>
         
         
            <P>The Security
            feature protects certain features and settings by requiring a password to perform 
            some tasks.  A password must be entered to enable the password protection feature.
            Once enabled, a password is required to access and modify the following:<P></B>
            
            
            
            
            		<LI><B>Preferences</B></P>
            		Access to Virtual PC Preferences is controlled.</P></BR>
                  
            		<LI><B>PC Settings</B></P>
            		Access to Virtual PC Settings is controlled.</P></BR>
                     
                    <LI><B>Exit from Full Screen mode</B></P>
                    The ability to exit from full screen mode to window mode is controlled.</P></BR>
                    
                    <LI><B>Create or delete PC</B></P>
                    The ability to create or delete a PC is controlled.</P></BR>
                    
            </UL>
                    
                    <P>If a user attempts to access a password protected feature, 
                    they will be prompted for a password.  If an incorrect password 
                    is entered, the user will be informed that the password is incorrect.
                    The user will then be prompted to enter the password again.
                    After three failed attempts, access is denied and the password 
                    dialog is dismissed.</BR>
                    
                    
                    <P CLASS=NOTE><B>Note</B>: Control Alt Delete will allow
                     a user to bypass the security feature. If you wish to use the 
                     security feature to protect a virtual machine, be sure to
                     disable Control Alt Delete on the host Operating System.
