            <P><B>To change sound preferences:</B>
               <OL CLASS=STEP>
                     <LI>Bring
                     the Virtual PC window to the front.

                     <LI>On the
                     File menu, click Preferences.

                     <LI>Click
                     the Sound setting.

                     <LI>Select
                     the desired option, and click OK.
                  
             </OL>
            
         <H2>Mute Sound In Background</H2>
         
         	<UL>
                     <LI><B>Selected<BR>
                     
                     </B>When this option is
                     selected, sounds generated by background
                     <A HREF="../../shrd/pgs/hostguest.htm">guest</A> PCs will not be
                     played. </P>
                     
                     <P>This
                     option is generally recommended when running
                     several guest PCs. Running several guest PCs
                     with background PCs not muted may cause the
                     sound to become choppy.<BR>
                     
                     <LI><B>Deselected<BR>
                     
                     </B>When this option is
                     deselected, sounds generated by background guest
                     PCs will be played.<BR>
                     
             </UL>
