            <P><B>To change the floppy setting:</B>
               <OL CLASS=STEP>
                     <LI>Bring
                     the guest PC window to the front.
                  
                     <LI>On the
                     Edit menu, click Settings.
                  
                     <LI>Click
                     the Floppy setting.
                  
                     <LI>Select
                     the desired options.
                  
                     <LI>Click
                     OK.

         <H2>Automatically Detect Floppy</H2>
               <UL>
                     <LI><B>Selected<BR>
                     
                     </B>When this option is
                     selected, and a guest PC attempts to access the
                     floppy drive, the guest PC will automatically
                     detect and capture the floppy.</P>
                     
                     <P CLASS=NOTE><B>Note</B>: When this option is
                     selected, Virtual PC will spend processing time
                     checking for the presence of a floppy disk.
                     Selecting this option is not generally
                     recommended.<BR>
                     
                     <LI><B>Deselected<BR>
                     
                     </B>When this option is
                     deselected, and you wish to access a floppy from
                     the guest PC, you must manually capture the
                     floppy. To manually capture a floppy, see:
                     <A HREF="../../vpc05/pgs/vpc5Removables.htm">Removable
                     devices</A>. </P>
                     
                     <P CLASS=NOTE><B>Note</B>: If you attempt to access
                     the floppy drive before a floppy has been
                     captured, the OS will present an error
                     message.<BR>
