         Microsoft Networking</H1>
         
            <P>Virtual PC allows
            you to access Windows domains, workgroups, and
            peer-to-peer file sharing exactly as you would from your
            host PC. 
         
         <H2>Peer-to-peer file sharing</H2>
         
            <P>There are two ways
            to access peer-to-peer file sharing:
            
            <UL>
                     <LI><B>PCs on a network<BR>
                     
                     </B>A Windows <A HREF="../../shrd/pgs/hostguest.htm">guest</A> PC may access a
                     Windows PC external to the host PC as long as
                     the host PC is connected to the network
                     containing the external PC.<BR>
                     
                     <LI><B>Guest PCs on the host PC<BR>
                     
                     </B>One Windows guest PC may
                     access another Windows guest PC on the same host
                     PC as long as the two guest PCs are both using
                     the Virtual Switch.</P>

            <P><B>To access the
            other Windows PC:</B>
            
            <OL CLASS=STEP>
                     <LI>Select
                     Settings from the Windows Start bar.
                  
                     <LI>Select
                     Control Panel.
                  
                     <LI>Double-click on the
                     Network icon.
                  
                     <LI>Click
                     on the Identification tab.
                  
                     <LI>Enter a
                     Computer name, your Workgroup name, and a
                     computer description (optional).
                  
                     <LI>Click
                     OK.
                  
                     <LI>Click
                     Yes to restart.

         <H2>Windows domains and workgroups</H2>
         
            <P>For help in
            accessing Windows domains and workgroups, consult the PC
            operating system manual or your network
            administrator.
